Tech Mahindra, UEFA tie up to provide mobile content delivery

Mumbai, Aug 7 (UNI) Tech Mahindra today signed an agreement with Europe's football governing body UEFA to provide a platform for Mobile Content Hosting and Delivery Platform.

The agreement, a revenue-sharing one, was signed by Vineet Nayyar, Vice Chairman of Tech Mahindra and Alexandre Fourtoy, CEO of UEFA Media Technologies.

Under the agreement, Tech Mahindra will provide solutions in relation to UEFA managed mobile services which will be designed to enable UEFA to offer football content directly to mobile devices across the world.

Tech Mahindra, through this agreement, which will run upto 2009, will allow UEFA to enable football fans from across the world to access content from its European competitions wherever and whenever they wish using their mobile phones.

Tech Mahindra will build and operate the mobile delivery IT environment for UEFA content, connecting it to various operator networks across the world and provide 24x7 support to deliver this content direct to football fans.

Speaking on the occasion, Anand Mahindra, Chairman Tech Mahindra said with this agreement, the Company has once again demonstarted its strength and versatility as one of the leading companies in the telecom solutions space.
