Sourav is quiet man at home: Dona
Bhopal, Aug 7 (UNI) Odissi danseuse Dona, who is Team India former captain Sourav Ganguly's wife, says the Prince of Kolkata -- well-known for his aggression on the field -- is a rather quiet man at home.
''And that behaviour is not brought on by my personality. He is basically a quiet person but the rush-and-tumble of the game makes him aggressive in a stadium. I hope he will return to the national team,'' Dona told UNI. She was here to perform at the multi-art facility Bharat Bhavan.
When asked how much attraction she has to the game, the artiste says she is not a ball-by-ball viewer but makes it a point not to miss key matches and also likes master blaster Sachin Tendulkar's strokeplay.
She refused to comment on whether Gangulay was being deliberately kept out of the team though his earlier contribution makes him undeserving of such treatment.
''I rarely meet the wives of Team India's other married members but we interact openly whenever such meetings do take place. My four-year-old daughter is immensely interested in dance and music but not inclined to cricket,'' says the student of Pandit Kelucharan Mahapatra.
