Saurashtra University bans Pepsi, Coca-Cola beverages sale

Rajkot, Aug 7 (UNI) Saurashtra University has banned the sale of Pepsi and Coca Cola with immediate effect following the revelations of the Centre for science and Enviornment (CSI) that they contained high levels of pesticide residues.

A Saurashtra University release here today stated that sale of the beverages in all colleges and institutes, affiliated to the University, has been banned with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, some students belonging to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today destroyed the bottles of Pepsi and Coca-Cola, which were lying in the University's canteen.
