Pathak report: RS adjourned till tmrw amid turmoil

New Delhi, Aug 7: Rajya Sabha was adjourned till tomorrow amid pandemonium over the issue of Pathak Authority report into Iraqi oil-for-food scam as both opposition and treasury benches indulged in slogan shouting and did not allow the House to function in the post-lunch session.

As soon as the House assembled at 1400 hrs, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj got up and said during Question Hour, they had raised the issue of ''insult to the House.'' However, as soon as she said this, Congress members were on their feet and objected to Ms Swaraj. The BJP leader counter-charged and the turmoil continued for 15 minutes after which Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat adjourned the House till tomorrow.
