Record offerings to Lord Venkateswara's Hundi

Tirupati, Aug 7(UNI) The 'Hundi' at the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala has received a record collection of cash and jewellery valued at Rs 1.3 crore, in a day yesterday.

This was the second highest collection in the history of the temple, according to Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD).

The collection included Rs 17.5 lakh in cash, several kgs of silver, diamonds and other precious stones, the sources said.
