ONGC deploys CMT to drain out rain water from low-lying areas
Rajahmundry, Aug 7 (UNI) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) deployed its crisis management team (CMT) to drain out rain water from the low-lying areas of Rajahmundry.
According to a ONGC spokesman, a 12-member CMT team was working round-the clock at Nalla Channel for waterlogging operations. ONGC installed two high pressure discharge pumps of 2000 gallons per minute capacity.
Apart from this, ONGC will also extend all possible help to the flood affected villages.
The Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation had sought the help of ONGC in clearing the rain water from the city.
ONGC was also assisting in reviving city's drinking water distribution facility, which was badly affected, due to power failure, the spokesman added.
