Nokia launches E series for business mobility
Bangalore, Aug 7: Aimed at the technology savvy mobile users in the country, Nokia today launched the flagship range of E series devices that would help businesses mobilise their workforce while optimising productivity.
While three of the new series of mobile phones were launched today, the fourth Nokia E50 would be launched later this month, Nokia Enterprise Solutions Country General Manager G K Chakrapani told newspersons here.
He said these mobile phones, priced between Rs 19,000 and Rs 20,000, were dedicated to help business and institutions worldwide improve their performance through extended mobility. The E series had been designed, keeping in mind the pervasive need of business users to stay connected. The device offered secure mobile access, advanced voice and data functionalities and combined productive features of email, connectivity options, superior voice quality with attractive easy to use designs.
Mr Chakrapani said Nokia would take an aggressive marketing route to push these new generation mobile devices. Besides operating with a couple of cellular phone operators, it would also push through exclusive channel partners and would have 6,000 outlets across the country and tie-ups with system integrators to provide solutions.
He said currently over 75,000 mobile phone users download email through their mobiles and according to IDC, their number would grow by 50 per cent annually.
