Nikkei edges down at open, Toyota tracks ADRs up

TOKYO, Aug 7 (Reuters) The Nikkei average edged down 0.03 percent on Monday as shares of Kyocera Corp. and other technology stocks trimmed recent gains after similar U.S. stocks declined.

Toyota Motor Corp. gained however, tracking advances in its American depositary receipts The Nikkei was little changed as of 0007 GMT, up 7.40 points at 15,506.58. The TOPIX index was also little changed, up 0.19 point at 1,571.89.
