IIT Alumni Regional Meet in Singapore on Aug 26

Bangalore, Aug 7 (UNI) IIT Everywhere, South East Asia's first Regional Conference of Alumni of Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) will be hosted in Singapore on August 26.

The event would be supported by panIIT--the global forum for IIT Alumni, besides a few Singapore-based associations like SITF and SICCI, according to a Pan IIT release here today.

A number of top luminaries, including ministers from the Singapore and Indian governments and top industrialists and educationists would be taking part in this signature conference to be held for the first time in Singapore, as a follow-up to the Pan-IIT events in USA, last year.

Indian High Commissioner in Singapore Alok Prasad would inaugurate the event. Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Singapore Education Minister and Finance Second Minister, would also be participating, the release said.

Key speakers included former Union Minister M G K Menon, Tarun Das of Confederation of Indian Industry and former Indian Ambassador to Japan Aftab Seth.
