High Court asks to fill up posts of Judicial officers
Patna, Aug 7 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed the Bihar government to file an affidavit within one week, stating that action was taken to fill up the vacancies of judicial officers in different courts of the state.
While hearing a public interest litigation petition, a division bench of the court comprising Justice Aftab Alam and Justice S K Katariyar passed the direction.
The petitioner informed the court that in a direction to all state governments in 2002, the Supreme Court had asked to fill up the vacant posts of the judicial officers.
Hearing another matter, Patna High Court also directed the Centre and the State government to file a status report on the works completed so far for establishing an AIIMS like hospital in Patna.
