Helpline for Haj pilgrims in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Aug 7 (UNI): Rajasthan Haj Welfare Society has started a helpline service here to help the Haj pilgrims.
Society's general secretary, Haji Nizammudin told UNI the helpline will allow the Haj applicants across the state to know whether their names were included in the list for pilgrimage after the drawing of lots.
The helpline number 0141-2612525 and 931465485 will also provide information about the pilgrims place on the waiting list and the amount they need to deposit.
Haji Nizamuddin said the society provides free services to all Haj pilgrims till their departure from Jaipur. The facilities also include blood test and health check-ups.
This year, around 7,535 forms have been filled out of which 4,664 people have been selected through the process Haji Nizamuddin said.
The Haj pilgrims will leave Jaipur on November 23 which will begin on December.
''Last year 5,600 Hajis were from Rajasthan and society officials will leave for Delhi soon to urge the Centre to increase the number of Hajis from the state this year,'' said Haji Nizamuddin.
