Heavy rains likely in Western, Central India
Pune, Aug 7 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, north Madhya Maharashtra, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and coastal Karnataka. Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Punjab, many places in Arunachal Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and a few places in Telangana, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, and isolated places in Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu.
The sosuth-west monsoon has been vigorous over Gujarat, Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra, while it is active over Marathwada and Vidarbha.
It has been subdued over Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Heavy to very heavy rains had occurred at most places in Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and coastal Karnataka.
Heavy rains had occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir, and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttaranchal, Punjab and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Rain or thundershowers had also occurred at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, north interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, west Uttar Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar.
