"Govt supporters provided with govt vehicle": Segar

Pondicherry, Aug 7 (UNI) AIADMK legislator Om Sakthi Segar today accused the territorial administration with providing a government vehicle and staff to work in the residences of a politicians supporting the government.

Participating in a discussion on demand for grants for various departments, Mr Segar said all the ruling party legislators obtained a post and got a government vehicle for transportation. Demanding equal treatment to all the members of the House, he said the legislators supporting the government were provided with vehicles and only the opposition legislators were left out.

He also wondered why a retired IAS officer appointed as the State Election Commissioner while over 10 IAS officers are working in the union territory. It is wastage of government money, he said.

He also urged the administration to introduce yoga classes to the prisoners in the central prison here.
