France's Essarokh suspended until further notice

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Aug 7 (Reuters) France's Latifa Essarokh, who was due to run in the women's 1,50O metres at the European athletics championships, has been suspended by the French Athletics Federation (FFA).

The FFA said in a statement today it had acted after being informed by the ruling body's head doctor that Essarokh was not fit to compete.

As a result the Moroccan-born 32-year-old is ineligible to enter any competition until further notice, the statement read.
