FLAG to provide high speed connectivity
New Delhi, Aug 7: Reliance Communications owned, FLAG telecom will provide 180 gigabits (GB) of high quality connectivity to T-Com, the broadband division of Deutsche Telecom, between Europe and the United States to meet their growing business recquirements.
Also, this addition of 180 GB will enable Deutsche Telekom to implement route diversity between the key business centres of Europe and the US while offering enhanced reliability and scalability of service.
The total used capacity on the Europe-US route has grown at around 48 per cent year on year between 2002 and 2006.
''In our evaluation, FLAG Telecom has proved to be among the best trans-atlantic providers scoring very well in system reliability and flexibility,'' T-Com Executive VP Global Networks, Wolfram Pueschner said.
FLAG has a customer base of over 200 leading operators, including all of the top ten international carriers and owns and manages an extensive optical fibre network spanning four continents, connecting key business markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and US.
