Eight kg tumour found in patient's stomach

Agartala, Aug 7 (UNI) In a rare case, a tumor weighing eight kgs was operated upon a four month pregnant woman here at a nursing home last evening.

According to sources, Dr Ila Lodh, former superintendent of IGM hospital found the large tumour in the stomach of one 30-year old woman, which was operated upon successfully.

Dr Lodh said the tumour, called dermoid cyst, was a rare case not only in Tripura but in the whole country. At least four litres of fluid was taken out from the stomach before taking out the tumour.
