Cong leader demands legal action against Sushma Swaraj

Bangalore, Aug 7 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council H K Patil today demanded legal action against senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj for trying to hush up the Rs 150 crore bribery issue involving Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Talking to reporters here, he said when a judicial probe had been ordered into the bribery allegation and illegal mining issue, Ms Swaraj asking her party legislator C Janardhana Reddy, who had levelled the allegation, to maintain silence over the issue and discuss it in the party fora with evidences, amounted to criminal offence. It was punishable under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, he added.

He urged the judicial commission to take serious note of Ms Swaraj's act and initiate action against her.
