CM to hoist tricolour at Patiala on I-Day

Chandigarh, Aug 7 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh will unfurl the national flag and take salute at a State level function in Patiala on the occasion of Independence Day.

Deputy Chief Minister Ms Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, would unfurl the flag at Sangrur, while Speaker Dr Kewal Krishan would preside over the function to mark the occasion in Gurdaspur, an official release here today said.

Amongst the ministers, Ch Jagjit Singh will hoist the flag in Amritsar, Lal Singh in Ludhiana, Raghunath Sahai Puri in Ropar, R C Dogra in Hoshiarpur, Jagmohan Singh Kang in Muktsar, Sardul Singh in Tarn Taran, Mohinder Singh Kaypee in Nawanshahar, Avtar Henry in Kapurthala, Harnam Dass Johar in Fatehgarh Sahib, Amarjit Singh Samra in Jalandhar, Jasjit Singh Randhawa in Moga and Surinder Singla in Faridkot.

Similarly, Deputy Speaker Prof Darbari Lal will unfurl the national flag in Mohali.

Among the Ministers of State, Rakesh Pandey is scheduled to hoist the tricolour in Phagwara, Hans Raj Josan in Ferozepur and Ms Gurkanwal Kaur in Kharar.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dr Harbans Lal is scheduled to unfurl the flag in Samrala. Parliamentary Secretary Ms Harbans Kaur Dullo will hoist the flag in Bassi Pathana, and her colleagues Rana K P Singh in Anandpur Sahib, Parkash Singh Saini in Balachaur, Dr Raj Kumar Verka in Pathankot, Ms Razia Sultana in Malerkotla, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot in Khanna, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa in Dera Baba Nanak, Surinder Kumar Dawar in Jagraon and Ashwani Sekhri in Batala would unfine the flag.
