CM leaves for Aurangabad; flood alert due to incessant rains
Mumbai, Aug 7 (UNI) Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today left for Aurangabad to take stock of situation in Marathwada after incessant rains for four days in succession flooded the region, official sources said.
Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Mr Deshmukh left for Aurangabad from where he was to undertke an aerial survery of flood affected areas like Nanded, Parbhani, Hingoli and Buldhana.
However, sources said he could not undertake the aerial survery due to bad weather.
Meanwhile, the situation continued to be grim in Mumbai. However, trains are running on all the three lines - Central, Western and Harbour - in Mumbai, although they are slightly delayed.
