Aban Lyod clinches Rs 100 cr deal from ONGC

New Delhi, Aug 7: Offshore provider Aban Loyd Chiles today said its RIG Aban VII has received a Rs 100 crore order from state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation's overseas wing, ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), to supply a rig for deployment at Qatar.

''The RIG Aban VII has received a Notification of Award (NOA) of contract for hiring the said rig for deployment at Offshore Qatar, from ONGC Videsh Limited,'' a company statement said.

The contract, for a period of about four months.

The operations under this new contract is expected to commence by March 2007, after completion of the company's contract with Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd.
