Chief Minister announces Rs 25,000 each to seven CRPF Jawans
Mumbai, Aug 6 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced a cash prize of Rs 25,000 each to the seven Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans, responsible for saving lives of 25 people who were marooned in Nanded district last evening.
This was revealed here by Mr Deshmukh at his official residence 'Varsha'. Mr Deshmukh said, ''The jawans risked their own lives while rescuing the marooned people.'' While saving the lives of 25 people, all seven jawans were pulled into the flood waters, but they (Jawans) are safe, he added.
