A women killed and 15 others including 6 policemen injured in blast

Srinagar, Aug 6 (UNI) A women was killed and 15 others including 6 police personnel, were injured in a hand grenade blast at Sopore, about 55 km from here, in North Kashmir this afternoon.

Official sources told UNI that militants hurled a hand grenade towards a police party at Main Chowk Sopore. The grenade exploded causing injures to 16 people.

The injured included a police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and five constables of the State Police.

The injured were admitted to different hospitals where the condition of some of them is stated to be critical.

One of the injured identified as Sara, resident of Watlab, died in hospital.
