6 police officers among 16 injured in Kashmir blast
Srinagar, Aug 6: Six police personnel, including an officer, were among 16 people injured in a grenade blast at Sopore, about 55 Km from here, in North Kashmir this afternoon.
Official sources told UNI that militants hurled a hand grenade towards a police party at Main Chowk Sopore. The grenade exploded causing injures to 16 people.
The injured include an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and five constables of the state police.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals where the condition of some of them is stated to be critical.
