6 army jawans injured in ULFA blast
Guwahati, Aug 6 (UNI) At least six CRPF jawans were injured near Bhojo railway station of Sibsagar district this evening as ULFA continued its attack on the security forces for the third day in a row.
This is the third consecutive attack on the security forces by ULFA in the past three days following the stalemate arising on the peace talk front.
According to report received from Sibsagar, the incident occurred in the Bhojo railway crossing when two motor cycle borne terrorists hurled a grenade toward the CRPF van and it was followed by a gun battle.
The militants managed to escape while the injured were shifted to Sonari hospital. Two of them were stated to be critical.
The incident occurred at around 1715 hours when the van came upon the railway crossing, which is around 60 kilometer from the Sibsagar town.
