''Why is it now so urgent that we should take military action to disarm a military capacity that has been there for 20 years, and which we helped to create?'' -- British Labour politician Robin Cook, in a speech in the House of Commons in March 2003. Cook, who quit as Foreign Secretary over the 2003 invasion of Iraq, died on Aug. 6, 2005.
