Poojary seeks RBI / IT inquiry on land deal

Bangalore, Aug 5: Alleging that the family members of Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy have committed serious financial irregularities in the purchase of an IT Park former KPCC President Janardhan Poojary today demanded the Reserve Bank of India and the Income Tax authorities to inquire into the entire deal.

Talking to newsmen here he alleged that the family members of Mr Kumaraswamy had registered their sale deed of IT Park purchase deal for 9.70 acres of land eventhough actual transfer of land was about 22 acres.

Replying to question Mr Poojary said that if RBI and IT authorities have failed to take any action against the alleged financial irregularaties commirreded by chief minister and his family members on the IT Park purchase deal, he himself would take up the issue at the appropriate levels.

He alleged that the property was undervalued during registration and the Bank had extended loan eventhough the ownership of the property was under dispute.

he alleged that the six months JD(S)-BJP coalition government rule had failed to provide better governance and faced several corruption charges including Rs 150 crore bribery allegation against the Chief Ministered made by BJP legislator. It had also drawn flak from the Supreme Court on the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project.
