PIL seeks FIR againt Vajpayee and Jaswant in mole issue

New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) A PIL has been filed in the Delhi High Court demanding that an FIR againt former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh be registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code(IPC) for allegedly 'concealing' that a bureaucrat was acting as a mole in the PMO during the Narasimha Rao regime.

The petitioner, Danish A Ghafoor, also sought directions to the government to institute a CBI probe against Mr Vajpayee and Mr Singh.

Mr Singh, in page 126 of his book 'A Call to Honour, In search of Emergent India' has revealed that a top bureaucrat working in the PMO during the Rao regime was acting as a CIA agent, said the PIL filed by Counsel Anil Kumar Sharma.

The matter will come up for hearing before a division bench headed by acting Chief Justice Vijender Jain on Monday.
