NCW member alleges harassment of women employees in TTD

Tirupati, Aug 5 (UNI) National Commission for Women (NCW) member Nirmala Venkatesh today alleged that employees of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) were harrasing women employees.

Talking to newspersons, after visiting the various departments of TTD, where women employees were working, the NCW member alleged that Mr Redappa, who was the superintendent of a particular department was not behaving properly with women employees and harassing them.

In some departments of the TTD, the women employees were asked to work for late hours, she alleged.

Ms Nirmala, who interacted with women employees of the TTD earlier, said she had explained all the facts to TTD Executive Officer APVN Sarma and asked him to take necessary action against the employees, who allegedly misbehaved with women employees.

A report would be submitted before the Commission for further course of action, she added.
