MP handicrafts in foreign trade fairs

Bhopal, Aug 5: Handicrafts prepared by the craftspersons of Madhya Pradesh will be sold through ''Made in India trade fair'' to be organised in Beijing, Moscow and Egypt.

The trade fair to be organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries in Beijing will be held from September 8 to 11 and in Moscow from November 8 to 11. The trade fair to be held in Egypt will be known as Cairo International Fair and it will be arranged by the Indian Trade Promotion Authority, Industries Minister Babulal Gaur said.

The Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam will showcase and sell saris, woodcraft items, metalcraft, bamboo items and leather goods made by the craftpersons of the state. The Nigam earlier took part in such a fair in Japan.
