MLA walks out of review meeting

Gulbarga, Aug 5 (UNI) A Legislator staged a walkout from a meeting, chaired by Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to review the damage caused by floods in five Northern Karnataka districts, today.

After the Chief Minister concluded his speech, Sedam MLA Sharan Prakash Patil started speaking, touching various issues other than floods.

Angered by this, Mr Kumaraswamy intervened, asking him to speak only about flood related problems. ''If you want to raise other issues, you can do so in the Assembly,'' he said.

Mr Patil took exception to this and asked why was the review meeting convened if he could not raise other issues.

Later, he staged a walkout.
