Litterateur Nooranad Haneefa passes away

Kollam, Aug 5 (UNI) Noted litterateur Nooranad Haneefa died at a private hospital here today following a prolonged illness.

He was 71. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Mr Haneefa was under treatment for cancer for a long time.

He had written about 30 books, including novels, short stories and children's literature.

A former general council member of the Kerala Sahithya Akademy, he was also associated with All India Radio, Thiruvanathapuram, as an advisory member.
