Life term awarded to Samajwadi Party MLA

Madhubani, Aug 5: A fast track court today sentenced Samajwadi Party MLA and state unit's president Deonath Yadav and 27 others to life imprisonment after they were found guilty of committing a murder.

The fast track court judge S K Sah yesterday had found the MLA and his accmplices guilty of murdering Congress leader Surendra Prasad Yadav in 1992 but reserved announcement of punishment till today.

All the convicts were sent to jail yesterday following the verdict.
