Kalla criticises shifting venue of Independence Day function

Jaipur, Aug 5 (UNI) Rajasthan Congress president BD Kalla has criticised the decision of the state government to shift the venue of the state level Independence Day function from Jaipur to Udaipur.

Talking to media persons here at the party office today the Congress leader said the government's decision would help only to reduce a state level function into a district level function.

Mr Kalla asked how many freedom fighters, officials and peoples representatives staying in the state capital would be able to attend the function held at Udaipur.

He said the decision would only result in reduced attendance .
