Depression creeps into Bengal,heavy rains forecast
Kolkata, Aug 05 (UNI) The sun made a brief appearance today after hibernating for a few days but dark clouds covered the sky completely giving an impression of early dusk.
It also rained intermittently.
The weathermen said the deep depression originating in Orissa had creeped into West Bengal which would result in continuous heavy rains accompanied by thunder for the next few days.
The maximum temperature slumped to 29 degree Celcius and the minimum was 25 degree Celcius lending a soothing feeling. There was a mild reduction in the humidity level from 99 per cent to 94.
The met officials have forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours.
