CM hopeful of concluding agreement on Smart City project

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 5 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today expressed the hope that an agreement could be concluded with the Dubai Internet City (DIC) for the setting up of the Smart City project in Kochi within a month.

Talking to mediapersons after talks with DIC representatives here, he said both sides had put forward their views on the project and were hopeful of concluding an agreement within one month.

Asked whether the project would be a joint sector one, Mr Achuthanandan said all options were open.

He said the government would study the alternative proposal put forward by the DIC team and its response in this regard would be sent to them within two weeks.
