AP CM visits casualty spot, assures assistance
Visakhapatnam, Aug 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today visited Kodipunju Valasa village near Araku Valley in the district where seven people were killed in a landslide yesterday due to heavy rains.
Dr Reddy said pucca houses would be constructed to the villagers at a safer place as the villagers were living in a hill slope.
Permanent shelters would be provided to the rain affected people of the village with all facilities .
The Chief Minister has also declared an ex-gratia of Rs 60,000 each to the deceased families .
Later the Chief Minister visited the Primary Health Centre at Aruku, where the injured persons in the landslide were admitted.
Earlier seven persons were killed and 26 injured in a landslide at Kodipunju Valasa in Visakhapatnam district due to heavy rains.
