Amarnath Yatra suspended, fresh batch leaves for Buddha Amarnath

Jammu, Aug 5 (UNI) Amid chanting of religious hymns and slogans, a batch of 311 pilgrims left in a fleet of nine buses at 0615 hrs today for Buddha Amarnath pilgrimage situated at border district of Poonch.

Meanwhile, the fleet of 169 Amarnath pilgrims who had stopped at Ramban yesterday due closure of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, have left for Baltal base camp this morning.

The yatra was halted at Khoni Nallah in Ramban district.
