London, Aug 4 (UNI) Zaheer Khan claimed his 60th first-class victim of the season as Worcestershire reduced Glamorgan to 329 for nine on the second day of a Division Two County Championship at Colwyn Bay.

Zaheer took three wickets in 24 overs after having contributed 13 runs with the bat in Worcestershire's total of 46 after they won the toss and elected to bat first.

Glamorgan were 131 runs short of the Worcestershire's total with only one wicket in hand. The situation could have been worse for them after they were left reeling at 162 for six.

A late fightback by wicket-keeper Mark Wallace (48) and Alex Wharf (86) saved the follow on for the home side but Zaheer and Gareth Batty, who also took three wickets, combined well to make sure that the Glamorgan duo's effort did not cause major damage.

Mark Cosgrove became Zaheer's 60th first-class victim of the season when he was leg before to the second ball of the innings.

Zaheer's figures read 24-2-95-3 Earlier, Daryl Mitchell (134no) and number 11 bat Nadeem Malik (35) frustrated the Glamorgan bowlers to take the visitors' total to 460.
