Yuvraj atop ODI batting in Maruti Suzuki Cricket Ratings

New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) Dashing southpaw Yuvraj Singh clings on to his top slot even though his Team India colleague Mahndra Singh Dhoni was toppled from the third place by buccaneering Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya in the latest Maruti Suzuki Cricket Ratings on ESPN STAR Sports.

Ricky Ponting, Muttiah Muralitharan and Nathan Bracken retain their respective top spots in Test Batting, Test Bowling and ODI bowling ladders.

In World ODI batting ratings, Yuvraj Singh (117 points) and Ramnaresh Sarwan (113 points) were unperturbed at the top with Sanath Jayasuriya (110) moving into the third place replacing Dhoni (107).

Others in top 10 include Ricky Ponting (102), Andrew Symonds (100), Michael Hussey (98), Mahela Jayawardene (95), Boeta Dippenaar (90) and Adam Gilchrist (84).

Meanwhile, the talented Sri Lankan duo of captain Mahela Jayawardene and vice captain Kumara Sangakkara move into the top 10 of World Test batting, courtesy their world record stand of 624 runs against South Africa.

Jayawardene is at the fifth spot with 127 points while Sangakkara is placed at sixth spot with 121 points.

Australian captain Ricky Ponting (163 points) maintains his top slot in World Test batting followed by Indian skipper Rahul Dravid (154 points), Australian opener Matthew Hayden (142) and Pakistan's Mohammad Yousuf (134).

Jayawardene (127) and Sangakkara (121) occupy the next two slots, while Michael Hussey (117), Virender Sehwag (103), Inzamam-Ul Haq (98) and Younis Khan (94) complete the top 10.

In the ODI bowling charts, Australia and India continue their domination with three bowlers each in top 10. Australia is represented by seamer Nathan Bracken (184 points) leading the rankings, Brett Lee (171 points) at third spot and Brad Hogg (166 points) at the fourth while Irfan Pathan (178) is at number two, Harbhajan Singh (139) at ninth place, followed by Ajit Agarkar (138).

Muttiah Muralitharan (164) is fifth, while compatriot Malinga Bhandra (161) stands sixth in the list, followed by Shaun Pollock (155) and West Indian Ian Bradshaw (149).

In Test bowling rankings, Muralitharan (198 points) not only holds on to his leader over nearest rival Anil Kumble (188), but extends it to 10 points. Shane Warne (184) completes the spinning trio at number three and the pace trio of Brett lee (176), Makhaya Ntini (168) and Mathew Hoggard (159) follow next.

England quickie Steve Harmison (155) moves into top 10 with a match winning 11-wicket haul against the highly ranked Pakistan batting lineup .

Andrew Flintoff (148), Stuart MacGill (139) and Harbhajan Singh (127) also make their presence in the top 10 of World Test bowling.

Australia continues its dominance with top team ranks in both Tests (122 points) and ODIs (92). Pakistan (94 points), despite losing to England, maintains the second spot in Test team rankings.

Sri Lanka (90 points), after a thumping win over South Africa, move up to third spot, pushing India (87) down to the fourth place. New Zealand (76), England (74), South Africa (64), West Indies (12) and Bangladesh and Zimbabwe (0) complete the top 10.

In the ODI team rankings Australia is followed by New Zealand (77 points), India (66), West Indies (59), Sri Lanka (57), South Africa (51), Pakistan (45), England (32), Bangladesh (26), Zimbabwe (19) and Kenya (3).
