New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha today witnessed uproarious scenes over the Volcker issue, with the Opposition demanding suspension of the Question Hour in the wake of the leaking of the Justice Pathak Committee report in which the panel is understood to have indicted former external affairs minister Natwar Singh and given clean chit to the Congress in the Oil-for-Food scam.

The Committee submitted its report to the PMO yesterday.

Mr Singh was present in the House when the issue was raised.

The uproar over the issue created by both the treasury and Opposition benches forced Chairman Bharon Singh Shekhawat to adjourn the House till 1200 hrs.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, senior BJP Member and former external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha rose up and started making a vociferous demand for taking up the issue suspending the Question Hour.

He was soon joined in by other members of his party and those from other parties like. Soon, there was counter sloganeering from the ruling party benches, resulting in a din in which nothing was audible. When the Chairman found the Members unrelenting, he announced adjournment of the House til 1200 hrs.
