Two batches of pilgrims leave for darshan

Jammu, Aug 4 (UNI) Two batches of pilgrims, one consisting of 723 and the other of 179, today left for Buddha Amarnath and the holy cave shrine of Amarnath respectively, amid tight security.

Official sources said the first batch comprising 469 men, 231 women and 23 children left in a fleet of 13 buses and eight light motor vehicle at 0615 hrs for Buddha Amarnath pilgrimage situated at border district of Poonch.

The other batch comprising 69 men, 21 women, one child and 88 sadhus was flagged off from MA stadium.
