Twenty injured in post-poll violence
Chittoor, Aug 4: As many as 20 people were injured and five of them seriously, in a group clash at Keelagaram here last night.
According to police, the clash started during a victory procession by the TDP workers. The Congress functionaries obstructed the rivals resulting in a group clash.
Narayanavanam police Sub-Inspector B Ashok Kumar, who reached the scene with a police team to disperse the clashing groups, also was injured in the melee.
All the injured were admitted to various private and government hospitals in the city, police added.
