TDP activist killed in clash at AP village

Tirupati, Aug 4(UNI) A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activist was killed and 20 injured, three of them seriously in a group clash at Keelagram in Narayanavanam mandal of Chittoor district last night.

According to police, Congress workers obstructed a victory procession taken out by the TDP, leading to clash in which both the groups attacked each other with stones and sticks.

A police team from Narayanavanam lead by sub-inspector Ashok Kumar rushed the spot. While separating the groups, the SI sustained injuries.

The deceased TDP activist was identifed as 63-year-old K Manalandi. All the injured were admitted to the Puttur government hospital.

No one has been arrested so far in connection with the incident, police added.
