Step Father sentenced seven years for raping minor daughter

Mumbai, Aug 4 (UNI) A local court here today sentenced an accused to seven years rigorous imprisonment for raping a 14-year old step daughter during 2004 in a city outskirts.

Additional Sessions Judge S S Joshi convicted Mohd Ali Ansari (54) held guilty under section 376 and 506 (II) to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs.2500 in default to further eight months simple imprisonment.

According to the prosecution case, the victim a 14 year old at the time of incident had been raped by her step father after the death of her mother. He also threatened her that the incident should not be discussed with others.

After the death of her mother, step father married with another woman however continued his misbehaviour with her. In order to escape from the fury she left house and stayed in Dongri remand home. From the remand home she filed a rape complaint against her step father on September 25,2004 with Shivaji Nagar Police station.
