Rains throws life out of gear in AP capital

Hyderabad, Aug 4 (UNI) Heavy rains in city threw life out of gear and people living in low-lying areas were affected due to water logging.

On busy roads like Ranigunj, Khairatabad, Somajiguda, Begumpet, Malakpet and LB Nagar Ring Road, people were found wading through knee-deep water last night and those having vehicles had a tough time reaching their destinations.

The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad(MCH) personnel were monitoring the situation and clearing water logging in several areas.

According to official sources, the city received four cm of rainfall till this morning.Attendence was thin in schools and roads looked deserted.
