Prakash becomes Fifth Pay Commission Chairman

Bangalore, Aug 4 (UNI) The Karnataka Government today appointed former Karnataka Additional Chief Secretary M B Prakash as the Chairman of the Fifth State Pay Commission here.

The post fell vacant following the death of Mr C Gopala Reddy, a retired State Chief Secretary, after suffering a cardiac arrest last month.

The State Government directed the one-man Fifth Pay Commission to submit its final report before December 2006, according to an official release here.
