Police identifies a conspirator, hope to nab him soon

Kochi, Aug 4 (UNI) Police today intensified their search for one of the key conspirators in the Sabarimala Tantri Kandararu Mohanararu attack case, identified as Abdul Rahman and hope to nab him soon.

According to sources in the investigation team, the suspect was a small time filmmaker and businessman. The police have strengthened their vigorous search for him.

However, they denied reports that Abdul had already been arrested.

According to police, Abdul was a business associate of main accused Sobha John, who was arrested on August two alongwith two accomplices Anil Kumar and Vigil.

He had allegedly hired the five-member 'goonda gang' which attacked the Tantri at Sobha John's house on July 23 and robbed him of 40 sovereigns of gold ornaments, his mobile phone and also forcibly photographed him with a woman.

Abdul and Sobha had allegedly hatched the conspiracy along with Anil Kumar and Vigil as they knew that the Tantri would be visiting Sobha's house on July 23.

The Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate today remanded Sobha John, Anil Kumar and Vigil to police custody till August eight.
