People in Kashmir will not accept any solution without their say

Srinagar, Aug 4 (UNI) Chairman of the breakway Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani today said no solution to the Kashmir issue would be acceptable to the people without their involvement.

Addressing a Friday congregation at Hyderpora this afternoon Mr Geelani said the issue of Jammu and Kashmir was not just between India and Pakistan, but it involves the future of more than 13 million people of the state, living on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC).

He said if India and Pakistan agrees to a solution without the involvement of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, it will not be acceptable.

He also expressed concern over the killing of innocent persons in Israeli attacks in Lebanon and Palestini and criticised the muslim countries for not raising their voice against Israel and United States.
