New airport at Bhopal to be operational within 6 months

New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) The new airport at Bhopal will be operational within six months, thus opening new frontiers for the investors to expand their business in Madhya Pradesh.

Government has initiated a single window system to give clearance to the proposals submitted by the investors without any hassles, Madhya Pradesh Minister for Tourism Yasodhara Raje Scindia said here today.

''We have laid stress io improve our infrastructure and in the last two and half years roads are being constructed with an average of 18 kms every day,'' she said, while addressing the global investors summit organised by FICCI.

In addition, Centre has cleared proposals for making international airports at Bhopal and Indore.

The renovation work going on at the Bhopal airport will be completed by six months, Ms Scindia said.

A deal is likely to be signed with private airliners including Air Deccan and Jet Airways to woo the tourists.
