Law college introduces sappling plantation in practical exams
Agartala, Aug 4 (UNI) The Tripura Law college here has come out with a unique idea of introducing sappling plantation as part of their practical examination course.
Marks would be alloted for planting sapplings, which would be added in the practical examination on the basis of the growth of the sapplings. This idea was conceived with the planting of 130 sapplings in the college campus at a tree plantation programme on August one.
The college also organised a discussion on the subject of environment protection on the occassion.
Chief Forest Conservator Rajendra Prasad Tangwan praised the college authorities for including sappling plantation as a subject in the practical examination. He also assured the college auhtorities of all possible help to conserve the trees.
The principal of the law college, K K Roy also stressed the need for such a move, which was aimed at protecting the environment.
